Spider-Woman 105 Kraven and Calypso Variant

Calypso taunts her lover, Kraven the Hunter, though it seems he cannot defeat Spider-Man, that it should be easier to capture the female prey Spider-Woman. Driven by his lovers insults, Kravens schemes to capture Spider-Woman and ends up killing and burying her.

Calypso unsatisfied with Spider-Woman's defeat, visits Spider-Woman's grave and plans to further taunt her lover by donning a Spider-Woman costume and let Kraven believe that he had failed in defeating Spider-Woman. Calypso releases Virmen only to show Kraven that Spider-Woman (Calypso) is a far superior hunter by defeating Virmen so easily.

Due to the mystical nature of the darts Kraven used to shoot her, Spider-Woman's immunity put's her into suspended animation in order for her system to deal with the toxins from the darts. As she becomes conscious she finds herself having to dig herself out of a grave.

Spider-Woman goes after Calypso and Kraven only to be stopped by Virmen. Enraged by revenged from his first encounter by Spider-Woman (Calypso), Virmen is out for blood and attempts to kill Spider-Woman. But Virmen senses that this Spider-Woman is different from the previous one that captured him. Spider-Woman's pheromones seems to calm him down. With a high voltage of venom blast, Spider-Woman subdues Virmen and lock's him back in a cage.

Driven by rage, Kraven goes after Spider-Woman and end's up face to face with both Spider-Women. Kraven ends up shooting Spider-Woman (Calypso). As Kraven unmaskes Spider-Woman (Calypso), he his horriffied that he has killed his lover. Before Calypso passes out, he taunts her lover by telling him that he will never be a superior hunter. In grief and enraged, Kraven points the gun to himself and commits suicide.

Unable to stop Kraven from killing himself, Spider-Woman checks on Calypso and notices she's barely breathing. Spider-Woman flies Calypso to the emergency and saves her life.
